Codathon FAQ
Who can take part?
Students, freelancers and working professionals aged 18 or over, from anywhere. Vlightsoft employees can take part for fun but are not eligible for rewards.
Is there an entry fee?
No. Entering is free. You only need a free Vlightsoft account.
How do I submit my work?
Open a challenge, sign in and fill in the entry form. Depending on the challenge, add a Git repository link (GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket), write a private security report with screenshots or a PDF, upload files such as a PDF or zip, or share a project or demo video link.
Can I enter more than one challenge?
Yes. You can enter each challenge once. A team submits once from one account and lists the other members.
Can I change my entry after submitting?
Yes. Edit or withdraw your entry any time before the deadline. The latest version is the one judged.
Is it legal to test your products for vulnerabilities?
Yes, within the Security Challenge rules: test only the listed products, use only your own accounts, never touch other people’s data and report privately through the entry form. Good-faith research that follows the rules is treated as authorised.
Who owns my work?
You do. By entering, you allow Vlightsoft to review it and, if you agree, to feature your project if you win.
How are rewards paid?
We email winners to confirm identity and payment details, then pay within 30 days of results. Applicable taxes are deducted as required by law.
